The 2026 Startup Battlefield 200 has been unveiled, giving a first look at the early-stage companies selected for one of the startup world's most closely watched annual lists. The cohort was chosen from thousands of applications spanning every major industry and geography, and the founders behind it will now take part in a live showcase at Disrupt 2026, scheduled for October 13–15 at Moscone West in San Francisco.
The list is designed to capture where the next wave of company building is heading. It ranges from artificial intelligence and enterprise software to climate technology, health and wellness, fintech, robotics, consumer products, space, defense, and social impact. The selected startups will exhibit at the event, giving investors, customers, and media a chance to meet the teams in person. The top 20 finalists will be revealed live on the first day of the conference, October 13.
For founders, selection is more than a line on a resume. It is an opportunity to pitch in front of global venture capitalists, demonstrate never-before-seen technology, and compete for a $100,000 equity-free prize and a signature trophy. The program has a long track record: alumni have raised more than $32 billion and produced 250 exits, with past participants going on to become category-defining companies. The 2026 cohort will now try to add to that record.
The program is supported by two premier sponsors that help early-stage startups build, scale, and succeed. The full roster below is organized by category, reflecting the breadth of the applicant pool and the range of problems this year's founders are trying to solve.
What the 2026 Selection Signals
The 2026 Startup Battlefield 200 arrives at a moment when early-stage investing is intensely focused on a few large themes while still rewarding specialized teams in narrower markets. Artificial intelligence appears across many categories, but not as a standalone label alone. It shows up in cybersecurity, enterprise tools, legal services, health diagnostics, marketing, recruiting, and consumer apps. That distribution suggests founders are embedding AI into workflows rather than treating it as a product category by itself.
Health and wellness is another large cluster, with companies working on fertility, sleep, medical devices, surgical tools, mental health, and biosensors. Biotech and pharmaceuticals remain well represented, especially in areas such as neuroscience, oncology, gene-focused research, and organ-related technologies. Climate and energy companies are also present, spanning water, carbon, battery materials, charging infrastructure, and clean power. The mix points to a cohort that is not relying on one sector narrative.
Enterprise technology is the largest single category in the published list, which is consistent with the continued investor appetite for software that improves how companies operate. The companies range from AI assistants and workflow tools to data infrastructure, sales automation, and collaboration platforms. Fintech, logistics, manufacturing, and proptech add further weight to the business-to-business side of the cohort. Consumer, entertainment, and e-commerce startups balance the list with products aimed at end users.
What stands out is the geographic range implied by the applicant pool. The list includes companies with names and legal structures tied to markets in Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America, though the event itself takes place in San Francisco. For many founders, the showcase is a bridge to U.S. investors and customers. For investors, it is a chance to see a curated group before the next funding cycle creates more noise.

How the Showcase Works
The selected companies will exhibit during the three-day event, putting their products and teams in front of a global audience. The format is built around live demonstration rather than static pitches alone. Founders can show working technology, meet potential customers, and speak directly with investors who are actively scouting early-stage deals.
The competitive layer remains central. Battlefield companies pitch in front of top global venture capitalists, and the top 20 finalists are revealed on Day 1. Those finalists then continue through the program as attention shifts from the full cohort to a smaller group of companies. The ultimate prize is $100,000 in
